Split Weekend Games!!!Bobby Christie scored with 5:06 remaining in the third period to lift the host Miramichi Timberwolves to a 3-2 win over the Amherst Ramblers in Maritime Junior A Hockey League action tonight.
Josh Coleman and Justin Matthews scored for the Ramblers. Simon Bissonnette assisted on both goals and was named the game's third star.
Jon Waye made 26 saves in the Amherst net. The teams were tied 1-1 after the first period, and 2-2 after two.
The Ramblers dressed the full 20 players for this game, with Mitchell O'Neill and Brandon Mercer back in the lineup. Shane O'Byrne did not dress for a second straight game.
Amherst's record drops to 7-6-0-1. The Ramblers head to New Glasgow for their next game, Thursday versus the Pictou County Weeks Crushers at 7:30 p.m.
