ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The next Annual Meeting of the association is required to be held on or before June 1, 2011 in accordance with By-Law 7.3.  The date of this meeting is May 15th 2012.

Please see below for proposed By-Law Changes to be voted on a the next meeting.

Proposed By-law Changes Amendment 2

 

By-Law 1.1

 

Reads: Upon registration, members will automatically be considered voting members of AHC. All other interested community citizens may become members of the association upon paid membership fee of ten dollars ($10.00), on or before January 5^th of each year. An exception will be made for a person or persons having missed the membership fee deadline because of relocation to the area, after said deadline.

 

Amendment: Membership runs from July 1^st to June 30^th of each year. Members must be at least 19 years of age.

 

By-Law 1.2

 

Reads: Each member will have one (1) vote only. The President will have a vote on all matters and in the case of a tie vote he will cast the deciding vote.

 

Amendment: The President will only have a vote in the case of a tie, when he/she will cast the deciding vote.

 

By-Law 1.3

 

Reads: Yearly membership terminates at the end of the AGM according to By-Law 7.3

 

Amendment: Yearly membership terminates at June 30^th of each year.

 

By-Law 6.1

 

Amendment: Add 6.1 (G) Add other committees as needed, voted on my the majority of Board of Directors.

 

By-Law 6.1(F) 4

 

Reads: The Board of Directors shall interview all applicants.

 

Amendment: Interviews will consist of three (3) Board Members as elected by the majority of the Board Members. Other Board Members may submit written questions for consideration for the interview. The President and Secretary will be present for all interviews.
